About Wilmington Machinery

USAEst. 1965

Wilmington Machinery was founded in 1965 and is headquartered in Wilmington, North Carolina. The company has built a strong North American reputation for high-output continuous-extrusion blow molding (CEBM), accumulator-head blow molding for large industrial parts, and high-tonnage structural foam injection molding presses. Wilmington''s continuous-extrusion blow molding machines (Twin-Star, Quad-Star, and Hi-Speed shuttle and rotary lines) are used by major converters for HDPE/PP bottles, dairy containers, household chemical packaging, and small industrial containers. The accumulator-head line covers single and dual-spindle machines for industrial drums, fuel tanks, kayaks, agricultural containers, automotive ducting, and other large blow-molded parts up to several hundred pounds shot weight. Wilmington also manufactures structural foam molding presses (often used for industrial pallets, refuse containers, materials-handling totes, and large enclosures) and some specialty rotational molding lines. Used Wilmington equipment is popular on the secondary market because of rugged American construction, common spare parts (Allen-Bradley controls, standard hydraulics, off-the-shelf extruder components), and the fact that Wilmington continues to support legacy machines directly from its NC plant. Common inspection points on used Wilmington blow molders include extruder screw and barrel wear, accumulator head and seals, parison programmer function, blow pin and clamp alignment, deflashing station, and PLC and HMI condition.
