Used cranes are available as bridge (overhead traveling) cranes for bay-wide coverage, jib cranes for workstation coverage, gantry cranes (fixed or portable) where building steel can't support a bridge, and standalone electric chain or wire-rope hoists. Key specifications are capacity (1/2 ton workstation jibs up to 20+ ton bridge systems), span, lift height, and controls (pendant or radio).

Used crane systems from plant closures offer major savings, but installation is a significant part of total cost for bridge cranes — runway rails, electrification, and certified erection. Portable gantry cranes and jib cranes are far simpler to relocate. Always verify load testing and inspection history.
