About Techno CNC Systems
Techno CNC Systems was founded in 1986 by the Designatronics Corporation, which sought to expand its library of drive components by developing electronic control systems and linear motion assemblies. Those early 3-axis motion systems evolved into the company's first CNC router. In 2012, long-time employee Roy Valentine acquired the business and immediately set about re-engineering the product line, modernizing machine designs, and raising the bar on quality and customer support. Today the company operates out of New York and has sold and serviced thousands of CNC machines worldwide.
The LC Series is the cornerstone of the Techno CNC Systems lineup, introduced in 2001 and celebrated as a legendary low-cost, high-performance router built on a heavy-duty steel base with ball screws on all three axes and closed-loop servo controls. A new generation LC Series and LC Plus Series followed, adding digital AC servo motors, precision helical rack-and-pinion drives, automatic tool changers, and multi-zone vacuum T-slot tables. Complementing these are the Atlas Series and Titan Series routers, which feature all-steel construction, THK linear guide rails, and 12 HP HSD high-frequency automatic tool changer spindles. For high-throughput cabinet and furniture production, the Venture Series and Venture Plus Series offer 9-spindle drill banks and large-format phenolic vacuum tables, while the heavy-duty Goliath Series and HD Series round out the range for the most demanding industrial applications.
Techno CNC Systems routers are used across a broad range of end markets, including woodworking and custom furniture shops, cabinet and millwork manufacturers, sign makers and display fabricators, plastic fabrication facilities, general metal fabrication shops, theatrical and exhibit builders, and educational institutions. The machines are designed to route, carve, drill, and engrave wood, MDF, plywood, plastics, foam, composites, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials, making them versatile workhorses for both small shops and high-volume production environments.
Buyers seeking used Techno CNC Systems routers on the secondary market are drawn to the brand's reputation for all-steel construction that resists flex and vibration, precision motion components sourced from industrial-grade suppliers, and a design philosophy aimed at 15 to 20 years of productive service life. Techno's commitment to free lifetime technical support means that even older machines remain well-supported, with parts and documentation readily available. That combination of durability, low maintenance requirements, and ongoing manufacturer support makes used Techno CNC routers an attractive, cost-effective entry point for shops looking to add reliable CNC routing capacity without the price of a new machine.
CNC routers are gantry-style machining centers built for cutting, drilling, and shaping sheet materials — wood, plastics, composites, foam, and non-ferrous metals like aluminum. With large table sizes (4x8 ft and up), vacuum hold-down, and high-RPM spindles, CNC routers are the workhorses of cabinet shops, sign makers, plastic fabricators, aerospace composite shops, and point-of-purchase display manufacturers. Automatic tool changers, multi-spindle heads, and nested-based manufacturing software make modern routers highly productive for sheet processing.
