About Campetella
Campetella Robotic Center traces its origins to 1897, when Pasquale Campetella founded a mechanical workshop in Montecassiano, in the Marche region of Italy. The company initially produced agricultural machinery, then evolved through successive generations before Carlo Campetella redirected the business toward industrial automation in the 1980s. The formal entity Campetella Robotic Center S.r.l. was established to focus exclusively on computer-controlled robots and automation systems, and today the fifth generation of the Campetella family continues to lead the company.
Campetella's flagship product lines center on Cartesian robots for injection molding automation, offered in top-entry and side-entry configurations. The X-Series lineup includes the high-speed GS2 X-Series top-entry robot, the CL2-3H X-Series for medium-to-high tonnage presses, the SM2 X-Series side-entry robot for IML applications, and the Twin Concept X-Series for stack mold work. Complementing these are the Prime series — including the ME1-2A Prime, RHEA Prime, and SP3R Prime sprue picker — as well as the Spin 1 X-Series SCARA robot. All-servo drives, carbon-fiber arms, and self-lubricating linear guides are standard across the range, and robots are sized for injection molding machines from 30 to 5,000 tons.
Campetella robots are deployed across a broad range of end markets. Food and beverage packaging is a primary focus, particularly in-mold labeling for containers, cups, pails, and trays. Medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers rely on Campetella automation for clean, precise part handling, while automotive suppliers use the systems for high-volume component extraction. The company's partner network spans more than 28 countries, and it has collaborated on IML projects with major press builders including Arburg, Engel, KraussMaffei, and Toyo.
Buyers seeking used Campetella robots consistently cite the machines' robust all-servo mechanics, low maintenance requirements, and greaseless linear bearing systems as reasons for their strong resale value. The modular architecture allows a single robot to be reconfigured between operator-side, non-operator-side, or T-beam mounting, extending useful machine life across multiple production cells. Parts availability is supported by Campetella's global distribution network, and the company's ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications reflect the manufacturing discipline that keeps older machines running reliably long after their initial installation.
