About Delta T
Delta T Systems was founded in 1990 in Richfield, Wisconsin, with a singular focus on process temperature control. The company has grown steadily over more than three decades under owner and president Jochen Naujokat, who acquired the business in 2012 and guided it toward expanded product innovation while maintaining its reputation as a dedicated, American-made TCU manufacturer. Today Delta T Systems operates from its Richfield facility and serves customers across North America and beyond.
The company's core product line centers on water and oil temperature control units, commonly called thermolators in the plastics industry, available in configurations spanning compact, standard, upright, and open-tank formats. The Eco Series is the company's most popular water TCU family, featuring DOE 2020 efficiency-compliant pumps, modular heater tank designs supporting up to 72 kW, solid-state heater contactors, and lift-off service panels for tool-free maintenance access. The Smart Series represents the premium tier, adding Vari-Heat adaptive control technology that dynamically modulates heat output in real time, electronically modulating cooling valves, Industry 4.0 connectivity with remote setpoint adjustment, and integrated flow, temperature, and pressure monitoring. Oil TCUs in the Smart Series handle fluid temperatures up to 550 degrees Fahrenheit. The broader lineup also includes portable air and water-cooled chillers, modular central chiller systems, and dry coolers.
Delta T Systems equipment is trusted across a wide range of process industries. Plastics processors — including injection molders, thermoformers, and extrusion operations — represent a primary market, relying on the company's TCUs to maintain precise mold temperatures and reduce scrap. Additional end markets include rubber processing, chemical and petrochemical production, food and beverage manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, medical device production, pulp and paper, cosmetics, adhesives and resins, and semiconductor fabrication. Applications span molds and dies, jacketed vessels, mixers, chill rolls, heat transfer rolls, and distillation columns.
Buyers seeking used Delta T Systems water temperature controllers benefit from the brand's straightforward, robust construction and single-discipline engineering focus. The units are built with heavy-gauge sheet metal cabinetry, industrial-grade components, and a plug-and-play design that simplifies installation and relocation. Replacement parts remain readily available through the manufacturer, and the modular architecture of both the Eco and Smart Series makes servicing a used unit practical and cost-effective. The company's long production history means that earlier-generation TCUs share many common components with current models, supporting strong parts availability and long service life on the secondary market.
