About Reliable
Herman Single founded Reliable Rubber & Plastic Machinery in 1935 in North Bergen, New Jersey. The business, also known historically as Reliable Welding and Machine Works, designs, builds, and rebuilds machinery for rubber and plastics plants and laboratories.
Reliable is a third-generation family company. Its plant on Union Turnpike includes machine-shop, engineering, and crane capacity, and the firm both manufactures new equipment and rebuilds mills, mixers, calenders, and cutters to order.
Bale cutters are a core product. Reliable builds guillotine-style cutters from laboratory sizes up past 60 inches of blade width, with hydraulic or pneumatic power, roller tables, and dual-palm safety controls. Replacement blades and bed pads are standard service items.
