About AXYZ
AXYZ is a Canadian builder of CNC routers and knife-cutting systems, founded in 1991 by Alf Zeuner and Gary Harvey. The company started by servicing routers, then began manufacturing its own machines in Burlington, Ontario in 1994. A 2022 machine nameplate still shows the Burlington plant. The group Canadian office is now in Waterdown, Ontario.
The current lineup is modular. Trident is the multi-material router, offered today with a spindle plus tangential and oscillating knives. Infinite and Infinite HD cover configurable process areas. Innovator, PanelBuilder, and Woodworker fill sign, panel, and wood applications. AXYZ states it has sold more than 10,000 routers, from small beds to very long ones.
On a used AXYZ, read the nameplate for type, model, and voltage, then confirm which cutting heads are actually fitted. Model numbers such as 4010 are process-area codes. AXYZ states that an Infinite 4010 is a 5 ft by 10 ft bed, and a Trident of the same code should be checked against the table in front of you. Also confirm automatic tool changer station count, spindle horsepower, vacuum hold-down, and dust collection. The control on recent Trident machines is the A2MC.
In 2018 AXYZ joined WARDJet to form AAG (AXYZ Automation Group). Router parts, tooling, and upgrades are sold through CNCShop, and AXYZ lists technical support in the United States, Canada, Britain, and Poland. The US office is in Tallmadge, Ohio. That parts channel is what keeps a used AXYZ supportable.
