About Emco
Emco was founded in 1947 in Hallein, Austria, by engineer Karl Maier, who began by producing conventional turning machines. After Maier's death in the 1970s, his son Ernst Alexander took over and renamed the business Ernst Maier Co. — Emco for short — steering it toward CNC industrial and training machines.
