How to Choose a Used Stretch Wrapper
Turntable or rotary arm
A stretch wrapper winds film around a pallet. A turntable spins the load. A rotary arm spins around a load that should not spin, because it is tall, light, or unstable. Loads per hour and the pallet size are the capacity.
Case tapers, strappers, and shrink tunnels sit in the same end-of-line sales and they are not wrappers. Read the frame.
Film and the mast
Pre-stretch percent is how little film you use. A carriage that does not pre-stretch burns film. The mast has to clear the load height. A 80-inch mast will not wrap a 100-inch load.
The film carriage, the motor, and the controls are the wear. A wrapper that will not hold tension is a turntable.
