About Haitian
Ningbo Haitian Group was established in 1966 as the Jiangnan Agricultural Machinery Factory in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, China. The company produced its first injection molding machine in 1972 and steadily shifted its focus to plastics processing equipment over the following decades. The plastics machinery division was formalized as Haitian Plastics Machinery Group and its parent holding company, Haitian International Holdings Limited, listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2006. Today Haitian International is widely recognized as the world's largest producer of plastic injection molding machines by volume, manufacturing an average of 40,000 to 50,000 machines annually and distributing them across more than 160 countries.
Haitian's core product line for horizontal injection molding is the MA series, a servo-hydraulic platform that has evolved through multiple generations — including the widely fielded MA II and the subsequent MA III and MA5 generations — covering clamping forces from the tens of tons up to well over 1,000 tons. The earlier HTF series established Haitian's reputation for robust hydraulic toggle-clamp machines suited to high-volume production. Across generations, Haitian machines use servo-driven hydraulic systems that deliver meaningful energy savings compared with conventional fixed-pump hydraulics, and the Jupiter series extends the lineup into large-tonnage two-platen configurations for very large part production.
Haitian injection molding machines serve a broad range of end markets. Automotive parts manufacturers rely on large-tonnage MA and Jupiter series presses for structural and trim components. Packaging producers use fast-cycle MA configurations for thin-wall containers, caps, and closures. The medical device and consumer goods sectors depend on Haitian machines for consistent, repeatable production of housewares, electronics enclosures, and disposable items. Home appliance and logistics equipment manufacturers also represent significant customer segments globally.
On the used market, Haitian machines attract strong buyer interest for several practical reasons. The MA II series in particular was produced in very large numbers through the 2010s, meaning spare parts, wear components, and service documentation remain widely available. The servo-hydraulic drive system keeps operating costs low, which helps justify the capital investment even on older machines. Haitian's straightforward mechanical architecture and well-documented control systems make the machines accessible to in-house maintenance teams, and the sheer volume of units in service globally supports an active secondary market with competitive pricing.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Haitian best known for in injection molding?
Haitian is best known for producing servo-hydraulic horizontal injection molding machines at a scale unmatched by any other manufacturer, with an estimated 40,000 to 50,000 machines built annually. The MA series, spanning multiple generations, is the company's flagship platform and is recognized globally for combining high throughput with strong energy efficiency.
Where are Haitian injection molding machines manufactured?
Haitian injection molding machines are manufactured primarily in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, China, where the company operates multiple large production facilities. Haitian International Holdings Limited, the plastics machinery arm of Ningbo Haitian Group, has been headquartered in Ningbo since the group's founding in 1966.
Are used Haitian MA II injection molding machines easy to support and maintain?
Yes — the MA II series was produced in very high volumes through the 2010s, so replacement parts, wear components, and technical documentation are widely available through both Haitian's authorized service network and independent suppliers. The servo-hydraulic architecture is mechanically straightforward, making in-house maintenance practical for most production facilities.
