About ExOne
ExOne traces its origins to 1995, when Extrude Hone Corporation established its ProMetal division to commercialize metal 3D printing technology originally developed at MIT. The division launched the industry's first commercial metal binder jet system, the ProMetal RTS-300, in 1998, with the first installation going to Motorola. In 2005, when Extrude Hone was sold to Kennametal, the 3D printing assets were spun off into a standalone entity that was formally renamed The ExOne Company. ExOne went public on Nasdaq under the symbol XONE in 2013 and was acquired by Desktop Metal in November 2021 for approximately $561 million, continuing to operate from its Pennsylvania headquarters.
