About EMI

United StatesEst. 1968

EMI Corp. was established in 1968 in Jackson Center, Ohio, originally supplying end-of-barrel products for injection molding machines. As the plastics industry expanded and demand grew for automated parts handling, EMI broadened its focus to include engineered conveyor systems and automation equipment. In 2016 the company moved into a purpose-built 110,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Jackson Center, and it later established a subsidiary, EMI Plásticos Internacional, to serve customers in Mexico.

EMI's conveyor lineup is organized into several well-defined product lines, all manufactured in the USA with AC variable-speed drive motors as standard. The Merit Line offers flat-belt conveyors in both anodized aluminum frame (ADF) and steel frame (DDF) versions, along with incline, adjustable-angle, and Z-belt variants. The Signature Line covers heavy-duty flat-belt (RM) and incline-belt (RMC) models built for demanding under-press and robotic applications. The Kurv King series provides fixed-angle (KK) and adjustable-angle (KKI) conveyors for directional part transfer, while the Extruded Aluminum line (EAF and related models) rounds out the range with lightweight, corrosion-resistant options. Specialty configurations include box-filling systems, parts diverters, runner separators, cooling conveyors, and trunkline systems.

EMI conveyors are found throughout the plastics processing sector, with particular concentration in injection molding plants of all sizes. End markets include consumer goods manufacturing, automotive components, medical device production, packaging, and general industrial assembly — anywhere molded plastic parts must be reliably transferred, sorted, cooled, or filled into containers after leaving the press.

Buyers seeking used EMI conveyors on the secondary market consistently cite the brand's robust steel and aluminum construction, long service life, and straightforward mechanical design as key reasons to source pre-owned units. EMI publishes detailed exploded-view parts lists and supports older models with replacement components, making maintenance of used equipment practical. The combination of durable build quality, broad model availability, and strong parts support gives used EMI conveyors strong resale value and a loyal following among plastics processors looking to expand capacity without new-equipment lead times.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is EMI best known for manufacturing?

EMI is best known as a leading manufacturer of heavy-duty industrial conveyor systems purpose-built for plastics processing and injection molding applications. Their product lines span flat-belt, incline, adjustable-angle, Z-belt, and specialty configurations such as box-filling and parts-diverting systems, all made in Jackson Center, Ohio.

What industries use EMI conveyors?

EMI conveyors are used primarily in injection molding and plastics processing facilities across industries including automotive components, consumer goods, medical device manufacturing, packaging, and general industrial assembly. Their systems handle molded part transfer, cooling, runner separation, and automated box filling directly at or near the molding press.

Are parts and support available for used EMI conveyors?

Yes — EMI publishes detailed exploded-view parts lists and components for its conveyor lines, and replacement parts are available through the company for both current and older models. This strong parts availability is one of the main reasons buyers actively seek used EMI conveyors on the secondary market.
