About Tridex Technology
Tridex Technology was founded in 2013 and quickly established itself as a leader in electrochemical grinding (ECG) technology, reporting double-digit growth since inception. Originally based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the company grew its team and relocated operations to Pennsauken, New Jersey. In January 2020, Tridex was acquired by Glebar Company, a precision grinding solutions organization, which expanded the brand's reach across medical, aerospace, and industrial markets while continuing to manufacture and develop the Tridex product line.
The flagship product lines center on burr-free electrochemical surface grinders and CNC grinding machines. The SG-1645 is a 3-axis NC/CNC electrochemical surface grinder available with conversational NC or optional Mitsubishi CNC controls, featuring a stationary table design and an optional index table pallet changer for high-throughput production. The larger SG-2060 is a full CNC electrochemical surface grinder with an optional rotary table for even greater workpiece flexibility. Both reciprocating surface grinders can be paired with the PGS-100 point grinding system for medical needle and K-wire applications. The CS1-E electrochemical cutoff machine and CS1-A precision abrasive cutoff machine round out the lineup, while the RVG-10 rotary vertical grinder addresses aerospace honeycomb component grinding.
Tridex Technology machines serve a concentrated set of high-precision end markets. Medical device manufacturing is the primary sector, covering hypodermic needle tubing, arthroscopic shaver blades, surgical instruments, biopsy needles, and K-wires. Aerospace is the second major market, with ECG grinders used on turbine airfoils, honeycomb structures, and aerospace fasteners. Additional served industries include automotive chassis component fabrication, precision tube manufacturing, heavy equipment production, and energy exploration.
Buyers seeking used Tridex Technology electrochemical grinders are drawn to the platform's robust, practically engineered construction and the long service life of its high-precision components. Because ECG wheel life can last up to twenty times longer than conventional abrasive wheels and the process eliminates secondary deburring operations, total cost of ownership remains low even on older machines. The relatively compact installed base and specialized nature of ECG technology mean that a used Tridex surface grinder or reciprocating grinder retains strong resale value, and parts and application support continue to be available through the Glebar organization.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Tridex Technology known for?
Tridex Technology is best known for its burr-free electrochemical grinding (ECG) machines, particularly the SG-1645 and SG-2060 CNC surface grinders. Their ECG process combines abrasive grinding with electrochemical machining to remove material with no burrs, no heat-affected zones, and no recast, making the machines especially valued in medical device and aerospace manufacturing.
What industries use Tridex Technology grinders?
Tridex Technology grinders are used primarily in medical device manufacturing — including hypodermic needle tubing, surgical instruments, and arthroscopic shavers — as well as in aerospace for turbine airfoils and honeycomb structures. Additional markets include automotive, precision tube fabrication, heavy equipment, and energy exploration.
What materials can a used Tridex Technology electrochemical grinder process?
Tridex Technology electrochemical grinders are well suited to difficult-to-machine materials such as stainless steel, Nitinol, Inconel, Hastelloy, Cobalt-Chrome, titanium, tungsten, and molybdenum. The ECG process is particularly effective on heat-sensitive and thin-walled materials where conventional grinding would cause burrs or metallurgical damage.
