About Accurshear
Accurshear is the shear brand of Accurpress, a North American builder of press brakes and shears. Current product material describes more than 45 years in the market and a line that runs from about 10 gauge by 6 feet through 1 inch by 20 feet. Corporate sales are in Surrey, British Columbia, and the shears are sold across the United States and Canada.
The design uses two hydraulic cylinders tied by a torque tube, a swing-beam cutting motion, and four-edge blades. Holddowns run the length of the cut. Later machines use the 6000-series model numbers; the 8000 series, including the 837510, is the prior generation still common on the used market.
Model numbers encode capacity. On an 837510 the 375 is 3/8 inch mild steel and the 10 is a 10 foot cut. The same pattern appears on the newer 637510.
Used buyers should read the nameplate for date, capacity, and cut length, then confirm supply voltage, backgauge travel, and how many blade edges are left. Accurpress still supports the line through its dealer network, which is why these shears hold up better than no-name imports.
