About Zocchi
Zocchi Giovanni is an Italian blown film specialist based in Verghera (Samarate), in the Varese province north of Milan. Founded in 1978 as a builder of extrusion and co-extrusion die heads, the company grew into complete blown film lines — more than 400 sold in over 60 countries, most of them tailor-made to a customer's film and output requirements.
Zocchi supplies single-screw extruders from 45 mm to 120 mm with nitrided or bimetallic 38CrMoAl barrels, direct-drive motors and infrared barrel heating, combined into 1- to 7-layer lines. Its die heads run from 80 mm to 1200 mm in diameter as rotating monolayer, fixed IBC monolayer, and fixed IBC 3-, 5- and 7-layer co-extrusion heads. Around them the company builds automatic air rings with non-contact thickness control, bubble calibration cages, oscillating haul-offs up to 3000 mm, in-line embossing units and double-axial automatic winders.
On the used market a Zocchi line is most often a compact 3-layer co-extrusion system — three 45–65 mm extruders on a 7" to 12" IBC die — running shrink, stretch or general packaging film.
