How to Choose a Used Open-Flame Rotomolding Machine
Burners on the mold
An open-flame machine heats the mold with direct gas burners while it turns. There is no closed oven. Temperature is harder to hold, so the parts are usually large and simple: water tanks and other shapes that forgive a wider process window.
Gas supply, burner condition, and the arm drives are the machine. A burner that will not light on one side leaves an unfused wall.
Why a shop still buys one
Capital and simplicity. You give up the setpoint an oven holds. If the part needs a tight wall and a cosmetic surface, a closed oven is the other machine.
The resin is still powder. Rotation still has to cover the whole mold. Flame does not fix a dead axis.

Look at the flame, not only the valve.
Turn the arms
Under load if you can. Gearboxes on these machines live outside.
Trace the gas
Regulators and hoses. A cracked hose is the hazard and the heat.
Match the mold
The flame has to see the whole tool, including the ends.
