About Airtek
Airtek was founded in 1969 in Lancaster, New York, initially specializing in rotary screw air compressors, aftercoolers, and separators. By 1973 the company had pivoted into compressed air treatment, steadily building its reputation as a leader in the design and manufacture of refrigerated and desiccant air dryers. In January 2007, Parker Hannifin Corporation acquired Airtek, integrating it into what became the Industrial Gas Filtration and Generation Division alongside sister brands Balston, Finite, Domnick Hunter, and Zander. The Lancaster facility continued to serve as a manufacturing and engineering hub under the Parker Airtek name.
Airtek's flagship product lines center on compressed air drying and filtration. The SC Series Smart Cycle refrigerated air dryers offer cycling and non-cycling operation across a wide capacity range, while the ES Series Elite refrigerated dryers and ECP Series non-cycling dryers address high-flow industrial applications. On the desiccant side, the TW Series heatless twin-tower dryers use Pressure Swing Adsorption technology, the TWP Series uses external heat reactivation, and the TWB Series employs blower-purge heat reactivation for large-volume, energy-efficient drying. Rounding out the line, the AME Series air mist eliminators are engineered for high-efficiency oil removal and extremely low pressure drop, protecting downstream equipment from compressor oil carryover.
Airtek equipment serves a broad range of process-critical industries where compressed air quality is non-negotiable. Key end markets include food and beverage processing, pharmaceutical and medical manufacturing, automotive assembly and spray finishing, semiconductor and electronics production, pulp and paper, petrochemical and oil and gas, and general industrial manufacturing. The AME mist eliminators are particularly valued in any plant running oil-flooded rotary screw compressors where downstream contamination must be minimized.
Buyers seeking used Airtek air dryers, mist eliminators, and compressors on the secondary market are drawn to the brand's reputation for heavy-duty construction, long service life, and the continued availability of OEM and aftermarket replacement elements and parts. The Parker Hannifin backing means technical documentation, service manuals, and replacement components remain accessible long after original manufacture, making even older SC Series and AME Series units practical to maintain. The combination of proven refrigeration engineering, robust desiccant tower design, and strong parts support gives used Airtek equipment strong resale value relative to comparable compressed air treatment brands.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Airtek known for?
Airtek is known for manufacturing high-quality compressed air treatment equipment, particularly refrigerated air dryers, desiccant air dryers, and air mist eliminators. Founded in 1969 in Lancaster, New York, the company built its reputation on reliable, heavy-duty designs and became part of Parker Hannifin's filtration division in 2007.
What are Airtek air mist eliminators used for?
Airtek air mist eliminators, such as the AME Series, are designed to remove oil mist and aerosols from compressed air downstream of oil-flooded rotary screw compressors. They deliver high filtration efficiency — capturing 99.98% of particles at 0.1 micron — while maintaining very low pressure drop to protect downstream equipment and processes.
Are parts still available for used Airtek dryers and compressors?
Yes, replacement elements, desiccant, and service parts for Airtek equipment remain widely available through Parker Hannifin's distribution network as well as numerous aftermarket suppliers. The brand's integration into Parker Hannifin has helped ensure that technical documentation and components for older SC Series, ES Series, and AME Series units continue to be supported.
