About B&H Manufacturing
B&H Manufacturing was founded in 1969 in Ceres, California by Calvin Bright, and shortly after its inception the company transformed the packaging industry by introducing the first hot melt roll-fed labeling system. Operating under the legal name B&H Manufacturing Company, Inc. and marketed as B&H Labeling Systems, the company has spent more than five decades as a pioneer in roll-fed and wrap-around labeling technology, manufacturing all of its equipment and parts in the USA.
The company's flagship product lines center on linear roll-fed bottle labelers built for continuous, high-output production. The BH8000 Series — including the widely deployed BH8000U U-shaped wrap-around configuration — has been field-proven since 1991 and remains one of the most popular and widely used labeler designs B&H has ever produced, valued for its compact footprint and high-speed throughput. Earlier mechanical series such as the 2000 and 2500U wrap-around labelers established the company's reputation for rugged, long-service machines. The Marathon series, introduced after 2004, brought a fully electronic SMARTdrive platform built on a five-axis servomotor system that replaced mechanical complexity with precise motion control, faster changeovers, and reduced maintenance. The BH1600 series rounds out the lineup as a value-priced, low-to-mid-speed linear roll-fed labeler capable of up to 450 containers per minute.
B&H Manufacturing labelers serve a broad range of end-market industries, including food and beverage, household and institutional products, automotive fluids, aerosol, dairy, and carbonated soft drink production. The machines handle PET, HDPE, and glass bottles as well as steel and aerosol cans, making them a versatile choice for any high-volume container labeling operation.
Buyers seeking used B&H Manufacturing labelers are drawn to the brand's reputation for exceptional mechanical durability and long service life — machines from the early 1990s remain in active production use decades later. Because B&H manufactures all parts domestically and maintains strong aftermarket support, spare parts and change parts remain available for legacy models, lowering the total cost of ownership on the secondary market. The combination of proven uptime, parts availability, and the relatively straightforward mechanical design of the BH8000U and earlier wrap-around series makes used B&H labelers a cost-effective alternative to new equipment for high-volume packaging lines.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is B&H Manufacturing best known for?
B&H Manufacturing is best known for inventing hot melt roll-fed labeling technology in 1969 and for producing durable wrap-around bottle labelers used in high-volume packaging lines worldwide. The BH8000U and earlier U-shaped wrap-around series are among the most recognized and widely deployed labeler designs the company has ever built.
What industries use B&H Manufacturing labeling equipment?
B&H Manufacturing labelers are used across food and beverage, carbonated soft drink, dairy, household and institutional products, automotive fluids, and aerosol industries. Their machines are designed to handle PET, HDPE, and glass bottles as well as steel and aerosol cans, making them suitable for virtually any high-volume container labeling application.
Are parts still available for used B&H Manufacturing labelers?
Yes — B&H Manufacturing produces all of its parts domestically in the USA and maintains strong aftermarket parts and field service support for its equipment. Legacy mechanical models like the BH8000 series and earlier wrap-around labelers have long-established change-part compatibility, which is one of the key reasons buyers continue to seek out used B&H machines on the secondary market.
