About Robbins & Myers
Robbins & Myers was an Ohio-based manufacturer of engineered industrial equipment and systems serving energy, chemical, pharmaceutical, and general industrial markets worldwide. Over its history the company produced small, highly engineered electric motors, material handling equipment including hoists, cranes, and monorail systems, and comfort-conditioning fans, later specializing in fluid process equipment. Key product lines included Moyno progressing cavity pumps, Chemineer mixers and agitators, Pfaudler glass-lined reactors and vessels, and related process and flow-control equipment used in demanding pumping, mixing, and agitation applications. Robbins & Myers equipment supported applications such as oil and gas production, chemical and pharmaceutical processing, wastewater treatment, and plant material handling. In the early 1990s the company exited motor manufacturing to focus on fluids management and process equipment, and in 2013 it was acquired by National Oilwell Varco, with the Robbins & Myers name gradually phased out while its product brands continue in the market.
