About Used Metal 3D Printers
Metal 3D printers build production parts from powder — binder jet, powder-bed fusion (DMLS/SLM), and related additive systems. Binder-jet machines (ExOne X-Series, Desktop Metal) print with a liquid binder then sinter; laser powder-bed machines fuse metal powder layer by layer. Used systems come from R&D labs, universities, and production cells and often include depowdering, curing, and powder-handling equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a metal binder-jet 3D printer?
A binder-jet printer deposits a liquid binder into a bed of metal powder, layer by layer, then the green part is cured and sintered to full density. Unlike laser powder-bed fusion, there is no melt pool during printing. ExOne's X1 25PRO / X25Pro is a mid-size production binder-jet platform (400 × 250 × 250 mm build box) used for 316L and other MIM-grade powders.
Does Meadoworks sell used metal 3D printers?
Yes. We list used metal additive systems — including binder-jet cells — sourced from plant closures, surplus operations, and university labs. Inventory is limited and turns quickly. Call 800-323-0307 or browse the listings above.
