About Used Extrusion Downstream Equipment
Downstream extrusion equipment includes all components after the extruder die that cool, shape, size, and handle the extruded product. Used downstream extrusion equipment includes vacuum sizing tanks, spray cooling tanks, haul-off pullers (caterpillar and belt type), flying cutoff saws, guillotine cutters, winders, accumulators, and stacking equipment.
Extrusion pullers maintain precise line speed and tension control. Downstream equipment must be matched to the extrusion process — pipe lines require sizing and cooling tanks, sheet lines need polishing rolls and trim systems, and film lines need nip rolls and winders.
