About Used Film Extrusion Lines
Film extrusion lines produce plastic film through either blown film extrusion or cast film extrusion processes. Blown film extruder machines extrude a tube of plastic that is inflated into a bubble, cooled, collapsed, and wound — producing film for bags, packaging wrap, agricultural film, and construction film. Cast film lines extrude through a flat die onto chill rolls for optical clarity applications.
Used blown film lines include the extruder, blown film die (annular), air ring, cooling tower, collapsing frame, nip rolls, winder, and often inline printing or converting equipment. Lab scale blown film plants are available for R&D and pilot-scale development.

What is a blown film extruder?
A blown film extruder extrudes molten plastic through an annular die to form a tube that is inflated with air into a thin-walled bubble. The bubble is cooled by an air ring, collapsed, and wound into rolls of flat film. Blown film extrusion is the most common process for producing LDPE, LLDPE, and HDPE films for packaging.
