About Used Extrusion Blow Molding Machines
Extrusion blow molding machines (also known as extrusion blow moulding machines) are the most common type of blow molding equipment. These machines extrude a hollow tube of molten plastic (parison), capture it in a mold, and inflate it with air to form the final shape. EBM machines produce HDPE bottles, industrial drums, automotive fuel tanks, toys, and countless other hollow plastic parts.
Used extrusion blow molding machines are available in continuous extrusion, accumulator head, and shuttle configurations. Continuous extrusion machines offer the highest production rates for small to medium containers. Accumulator head machines handle larger parts and heavier parisons. Look for features including parison programming (wall thickness control), view stripe capability, and multi-layer co-extrusion heads.
Meadoworks stocks used extrusion blow molding machines from Graham Engineering, Uniloy, Bekum, Kautex, Wilmington, Sterling, Magic, and Battenfeld Fischer. Contact us at 800-323-0307 for blow molding machine pricing and availability.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is extrusion blow molding?
Extrusion blow molding (EBM) extrudes a hollow tube of molten plastic (called a parison) that drops into a two-piece mold. The mold closes around the parison and compressed air inflates it to match the mold shape. After cooling, the mold opens and the part is ejected. EBM is the most common blow molding process for producing hollow plastic containers.
How much does a used extrusion blow molding machine cost?
Used extrusion blow molding machine prices range from $25,000 for small single-head machines to $500,000+ for large multi-head accumulator systems. Pricing depends on head count, shot size, clamp tonnage, parison programming capability, brand, and condition. Graham, Uniloy, and Bekum machines hold value well in the used market.
